RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Jewelers Mutual Group, a jewelry insurance company based in Neenah, Wisconsin, announced plans to invest $5.85 million to expand its operations and establish a new office in Raleigh. This move will create 200 jobs in the city.
Jewelers Mutual Group specializes in protecting jewelry businesses and ensuring their operations run smoothly. The company was drawn to Wake County due to its strong talent pool and economic growth prospects.
Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. “We are thrilled to welcome Jewelers Mutual Group to Raleigh,” she said. “The company chose our city because of our greatest asset — our talent. We are eager to support their new office and help them grow in our community.”
Wake County leaders also highlighted the area’s appeal. “We are delighted that Jewelers Mutual chose Wake County for their expansion,” said Shinica Thomas, chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners. “Our talented workforce, excellent educational and healthcare facilities, and high quality of life were key factors in their decision.”
The effort to attract Jewelers Mutual involved multiple organizations. Partners included Wake County Economic Development, Raleigh Economic Development, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, and other local entities.
