PC Jeweller reported a strong profit in the third quarter, driven by increased demand during the festival and wedding season. The company reversed last year’s losses, posting a consolidated net profit of 1.48 billion rupees ($17 million) for the quarter ending December 31. This compares to a loss of 1.98 billion rupees during the same period last year and a profit of 1.79 billion rupees in the previous quarter.
Revenue from operations surged nearly sixteen-fold, reaching 6.39 billion rupees. The increase was fueled by higher gold prices and a growing demand for lighter jewellery.
