A recent report revealed a 3.6% increase in jewelry sales for February, compared to the same month last year, with total sales reaching $15.5 million. This positive trend follows similar growth in January.

While unit sales dropped by 6%, the average retail sale (for inventory only) rose by 10%, reaching $266—also a 10% increase compared to two years ago.

Looking at specific categories, diamond jewelry sales grew by 15% in February compared to 2024. Sales of color gemstone jewelry saw an even larger increase, jumping 36%. Silver and alternative metals jewelry sales showed a more modest improvement of 1.3%.

In terms of laybys, there was a slight decline in dollar value between new orders and pickups or cancellations. Services such as repairs also saw a decrease, while special orders experienced a slight increase.

The report also highlighted that 29% of sales lines were offered at a discount.
