Four Arrested for Looting Jewellery Shop in Chhachhrauli

A CIA-II police team in Yamunanagar has arrested four individuals in connection with a robbery at a jewellery shop in Chhachhrauli town.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Yuvraj, also known as Yuvi, from Ugala village in Ambala district; Anuraj Singh, or Jauban, from Balauli village; Vipin Kumar, also from Balauli; and Prashant, known as Lakki, from Barara town in Ambala district.

According to DSP Ashish Chaudhary, the incident took place on March 7, when armed robbers stormed a jewellery shop owned by Somesh Garg and his father Rajinder Prashad. The police formed a team led by CIA-II In-charge Raj Kumar to investigate the case. Acting on a tip-off, the team arrested the suspects near Adhoya turn in Saraswati Nagar.

The accused were presented before a court in Jagadhri on Tuesday and were remanded to three-day police custody.
