Van Cleef & Arpels’ latest high jewellery collection, Treasure Island, invites admirers on a daring and playful journey of creativity. Drawing inspiration from Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic 1883 novel, the collection encapsulates a spirit of adventure, blending extreme beauty with a childlike sense of wonder.
This isn’t the first time the storied maison has ventured into literary realms—previous collections have been inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet, Jules Verne’s Extraordinary Voyages, and the Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, among others.
The Treasure Island collection unfolds in three acts. The first act captures the thrill of sailing into uncharted waters, symbolizing the start of a grand adventure. Featured within this act is “Pirate Jim,” a captivating clip that depicts Stevenson’s iconic protagonist perched atop the crow’s nest of a schooner. With a telescope in hand and an unfurling gold map dotted with diamonds, Pirate Jim is ready to cry, “land ahoy!”—setting the stage for an imaginative voyage.
