A piece of basketball history is hitting the auction block as Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers NBA championship ring from 2000 is now up for grabs.

Crafted in 14k gold, this ring holds significance beyond its dazzling appearance. A duplicate of the ring bestowed upon Bryant’s father, Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, in commemoration of the Lakers’ victory in the six-game series against the Indiana Pacers. The Lakers clinched the title after an impressive 67-15 season.

Weighing approximately 59.6 grams and sized at 11 ½, this illustrious ring boasts a total of 40 diamonds. Notably, five larger round diamonds grace each side of the ring’s face, which proudly bears the inscription “Lakers” filled with vivid purple enamel.

At present, the bidding for this prized possession has reached $94,000, according to Goldin Auctions.

Etched with the words “world champions” in raised lettering, the ring is adorned with the iconic NBA logo on one side. On the opposite side, the name “Bryant” sits prominently at the top, while the number 8 adorns the bottom.

“This ring is truly a one-of-a-kind item, and we can confirm that it holds the distinction of being the sole championship ring ever gifted by Kobe to his father,” affirmed the auction website.

Moreover, the winning bidder will receive a Letter of Authorization from Kobe’s mother, Pam Bryant, solidifying the authenticity and provenance of this extraordinary piece.

As basketball enthusiasts and collectors alike eagerly vie for this treasure, it serves as a poignant reminder of Kobe Bryant’s enduring legacy both on and off the court.
