Milan-based Vhernier, founded 40 years ago and acquired by the Traglio family in 2001, is now under the umbrella of Richemont.
Vhernier is recognized for its contemporary style, drawing inspiration from human body curves and modern sculpture. The brand’s hallmark is its bold and ergonomic designs, often blending traditional precious metals and gems with unconventional materials like titanium, bronze, and ebony.
This acquisition diversifies Richemont’s luxury jewelry holdings, which include brands like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
All Vhernier jewelry is meticulously handcrafted in Valenza, where the brand originated, and distributed through exclusive boutiques and high-end stores mainly in Europe and the US.
The deal also includes De Vecchi Milano 1935, a home decor brand renowned for its Italian heritage silverware.
Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, praised Vhernier’s unique design ethos, describing it as a blend of modern elegance and exceptional craftsmanship that complements Richemont’s existing collection.
Carlo Traglio, Chairman, and Maurizio Traglio, CEO of Vhernier, expressed confidence in the brand’s future under Richemont’s guidance, believing it will thrive in the branded jewelry market.
