Toronto, Ont. – Tiffany & Co. has redefined luxury shopping with the opening of its newly expanded boutique at Yorkdale Mall. The 8,000-square-foot space, a striking nod to diamonds in the rough, is the brand’s largest in Canada and represents the company’s bold new direction under CEO Anthony Ledru.
Taking over the former Jimmy Choo space, the store is a masterpiece of design, blending timeless elegance with contemporary artistry. “It’s not just extraordinary jewelry, it’s about showcasing our craft, our archives, and art,” Ledru explains, noting the inclusion of pieces by renowned artists like Damien Hirst and Vik Muniz.
The Yorkdale boutique is divided into specialized sections, including the brand’s signature “Icons” collections such as Tiffany HardWear and Tiffany Lock, a high jewelry room curated by artist Jean Schlumberger, and a dedicated engagement ring salon. Notably, the store is also home to the only dedicated Tiffany & Co. watch space in Canada, marking a return to the luxury watch category with a focus on jewelry-inspired timepieces.
The space was designed by Tokyo-based architecture firm SANAA, drawing inspiration from Tiffany’s flagship “Landmark” store on Fifth Avenue in New York. Ledru emphasizes that while the Yorkdale boutique reflects the luxury positioning of the brand, it was tailored to fit the unique codes of Canada.
“We wanted to bring part of The Landmark to Canada without simply copying it,” says Ledru. The Yorkdale store, which will remain Tiffany’s crown jewel in Canada, marks the next chapter for the iconic brand as it continues to evolve under LVMH’s ownership.
Tiffany & Co. operates 10 stores across Canada, with flagship locations in major provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and Alberta. However, Ledru hints that future expansion may be more selective.
