A woman was fatally shot during a robbery at a jewelry store in Sacramento County on Friday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, identified as 57-year-old Uc Thi Vo of Sacramento, was an employee at the store located on Stockton Blvd. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. when four to six masked men entered the store, smashing display cases and taking merchandise.
As the suspects were fleeing the scene, Vo was shot. While the sheriff’s office confirmed that a store employee fired at the group of suspects, it remains unclear whether the suspects fired back or who is responsible for shooting Vo.
The entire robbery lasted about a minute, and authorities are urging anyone with photos or video footage of the incident to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
