Singaporean Woman Loses $30,000 in Jewelry During Thailand Holiday

A Singaporean woman is devastated after losing $30,000 worth of jewelry while on holiday in Thailand. The missing items include her Tiffany wedding ring, two diamond rings, and a bracelet.

Her husband, Jonny, a contributor to Stomp, described the incident as a “nightmare” that ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. He explained that a hotel bellboy was involved in the situation, adding further confusion to the case.

“Our relaxing holiday quickly turned into a nightmare,” Jonny said. “To make matters worse, the bellboy changed his statement during the police investigation.”

Initially, the bellboy claimed that when he entered the hotel room bathroom, it had already been cleaned, and he did not see any jewelry. However, the situation took a more troubling turn when the hotel’s director of rooms sent an email to Jonny on November 4, stating, “Our investigation indicates that the team members involved did not come across the rings and bracelet, therefore, could not have taken them.”

The email continued, “We are unable to provide additional information due to the confidentiality of those involved. The safety, security, and trust of our guests remain our top priorities, and we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity.”

The case remains unresolved, and the woman’s $30,000 worth of jewelry is still missing.
