Sarum Jewellers, a well-established business in Salisbury, has officially reopened its doors at 7 Fish Row after relocating from its original site at 14 New Canal. The move, which took place on December 11, marks a new chapter for the jewellers, part of the Goldman Group, following its acquisition by the father-and-son duo Prasanna and Rami Perera in October.
While the store’s retail space has moved, the original premises at New Canal will continue to serve as a goldsmith’s workshop.
Store manager Amber Kempson, 31, who has been with Sarum Jewellers for 11 years, expressed excitement about the new location. Having served as the assistant manager for five years before her promotion, Amber noted that the expanded space has already improved the store’s ability to serve customers.
“It’s bigger and better,” she said. “There’s more room, and we can bring in more stock. I was in the old shop earlier this week and was thinking, ‘How did we fit so many people in there?’”
Amber, who was born and raised in Salisbury, also highlighted the improved customer experience in the new store. “On busy Saturdays, there used to be a queue to get in. Now, we have more space, and we can sit down with customers, something we couldn’t do before,” she said. “It’s a much more intimate way of selling, and we can give each customer our full attention.”
The new layout has allowed Sarum Jewellers to create a more comfortable environment for both customers and staff, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
