by Henry

An unidentified man stole a gold-platinum chain from a jewelry store on Rani Jhansi Road in Delhi, posing as a potential customer. The incident, reported by the store manager Jai Prakash Haroria, has led to an FIR being registered under Section 305 (theft) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

According to the store’s staff, the thief entered the store and inquired about platinum neck chains. Salesman Pushpinder showed the man various designs, but after a few minutes, the man left without making a purchase. It wasn’t until the salesman noticed the missing chain that staff began reviewing the store’s CCTV footage.

The footage revealed that the man had discreetly hidden the gold-platinum chain in his clothing before exiting the store. The manager immediately alerted the police, and the images captured by the CCTV cameras are now being used to identify and locate the suspect.

The Division number 8 police are actively investigating the case. Head constable Ashish Kumar stated that efforts are underway to track down the thief based on the footage.
