The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for Yaomiao children’s jewelry sets after discovering unsafe levels of lead and cadmium, violating the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.
According to the Salt Lake County Health Department, about 6,900 jewelry sets sold on Amazon between January 2022 and March 2024 are part of the recall.
Instructions for Consumers
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled jewelry immediately, keep it away from children, and contact LordRoads for a full refund. Customers will be asked to dispose of the jewelry sets and send a photo of the disposed items to [email protected]. Both LordRoads and Amazon are reaching out directly to all known purchasers.
Details of the Recalled Jewelry
The jewelry sets are silver-colored and feature multicolored gems shaped like unicorns, butterflies, hearts, turtles, stars, or rainbows with clouds. The lead and cadmium found in these items are toxic if ingested and can cause serious health issues, the CPSC warned.
