At Lacey’s Custom Jewelry, owner Lacey Madsen invites customers to bring in their old jewelry to give it a fresh new life. This personalized service, focused on custom designs and jewelry remakes, has become the store’s hallmark.
“This is what I’m really known for—custom pieces, remakes, and reusing old jewelry. It’s a fun process,” said Madsen.
Repurposing old jewelry not only saves money but also preserves sentimental value. Madsen explains that many customers bring in pieces with special memories attached, like rings that belonged to a grandmother but were taken apart. “Some people have rings sitting around because they don’t know what to do with them. But you can design something new with those stones,” she said.
The process involves working with customers to create a design, including trying on a prototype before finalizing the piece. “I’ll make a model for you to try on, and you can see how it looks with your stones. I’ll also provide images, though the possibilities are endless in terms of design,” Madsen added.
