According to the police, Dongre and his family left for Amravati on Sunday morning. Taking advantage of the empty house, the thief broke in through the back door and stole a purse containing the jewelry, which was kept in a basket near the Puja ghar.

The theft was discovered when the family returned home around 9 pm. Dongre immediately filed a complaint at Hudkeshwar Police Station, and a case of burglary has been registered.
