Gem Studio, a U.S.-based create-your-own jewelry franchise, has officially opened its first Canadian location at The Well, 486 Front St. W, in Toronto.
The new store provides an interactive jewelry-making experience where customers can design and craft their own pieces. Gem Studio offers three types of workshops: silversmith, charm, and permanent jewelry. Customers can use semi-precious gems and high-quality sterling silver to create rings, bracelets, earrings, pendants, bolo ties, pet collars, keychains, and cufflinks.
Each workshop, led by skilled silversmiths, lasts three hours and allows participants to design and create jewelry from scratch using the same materials found in commercial pieces. The workshops are appointment-based and can be enjoyed individually or with friends, a partner, or even for corporate events.
The cost of creating a piece typically ranges from $125 to $150, with charm pieces priced between $25 and $150, depending on the selection.
The Toronto location is the first Gem Studio in Canada, joining a network of studios across the U.S.
