Los Angeles-based luxury jewelry brand Spinelli Kilcollin is expanding with two new retail locations this month, one in its hometown and another in New York City, continuing its growth with a distinctive aesthetic.
“The opening of our NYC flagship marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of our brand,” said Yves Spinelli, who co-founded the company with Dwyer Kilcollin in 2010. The pair started in their East Los Angeles garage, creating their signature Galaxy rings.
The New York flagship store, which opened on February 5, is a traditional storefront located at 91 Crosby St. in SoHo. The 1,500-square-foot space features a 750-square-foot sales floor and a mezzanine with modern furnishings. The mezzanine will also host VIP styling sessions, private services, and art gallery-style events showcasing Spinelli Kilcollin’s collaborations.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles location, set to open on February 18, takes a different approach. Designed more like an art museum, the store will feature community spaces and rotating artwork by local artists. The aim is to create an immersive experience that blends retail with culture.
Spinelli and Kilcollin took a gradual approach to growing their retail presence. Initially, they focused on virtual sales and one-on-one appointments. As their business grew, they expanded to private showrooms in NYC and L.A., with the NYC showroom quickly becoming a standout market.
“We had a private showroom on the third floor in SoHo with an unconventional entrance,” Kilcollin explains. “Despite this, we listed it on Google Maps and opened the space to walk-ins. Within two weeks, the demand was overwhelming. We quickly realized it was time—actually, long overdue—to open a dedicated storefront.”
