In a fast-changing world, some traditions remain timeless. One such tradition is the art of crafting beautiful jewelry, and for more than five decades, Noral Jewelers & Mineral Art Gallery has been a trusted name in Palos Heights.
As Valentine’s Day approaches, the store is seeing an increase in heart-shaped jewelry sales, including pendants, rings, and earrings.
“Every year, we notice more customers looking for heart-shaped pieces,” said Dale Durling, the store manager. Durling has been with Noral Jewelers for 51 years. “What’s especially meaningful is that many of our customers return year after year, keeping this tradition alive.”
Noral Jewelers & Mineral Art Gallery first opened its doors in Harvey in 1958, founded by Norman and Alice Swiderek. After success at their first location, they expanded to Tinley Park before moving to Palos Heights in 1974, where it continues to operate today. The store is now owned by their son, Brett Swiderek, who also owns a second location in Tucson, Arizona.
