Fort Worth police are investigating a daylight robbery at a jewelry store inside a supermarket, after a group of men carried out a smash-and-grab heist on February 9. The robbery, which took place just before 4:55 p.m. at El Rancho Supermercado on Main Street, was captured on surveillance footage as the suspects made their getaway.

According to witnesses, the men used a metal tool to break open a glass jewelry display within the store. The suspects were seen carrying cases that police believe were filled with valuable jewelry.

Lourdes Torres, who was in line to buy groceries at the time, described the scene: “I thought it was a fight, and then I realized they were smashing the jewelry cases. They did it so fast, probably in less than two minutes. It was really terrifying.”

In the video footage, a bystander is seen confronting the suspects as they quickly flee the scene. Torres added, “We didn’t know what to do. The cashier started running, warning everyone to get out of the way because we didn’t know what the men were carrying or what they might do next.”

The police are continuing their search for the suspects involved in this bold robbery.
