by Henry

A jewellery maker, Mir Arif Ghulam Husain, 35, is under investigation for allegedly fleeing with raw gold worth ₹1.30 crore, entrusted to him by Zaveri Bazaar jeweller Kedar Krishna Mamade. Husain had been given 1,497 grams of raw gold on January 8 to craft mangalsutras, with a delivery deadline of January 30. However, he failed to deliver the gold ornaments, and when Mamade followed up, Husain requested an additional two days. On February 2, Mamade was unable to reach Husain, and his phone was switched off. Mamade’s attempts to contact Husain’s brother and visit his workshop were also unsuccessful. A case has now been registered, and the police are actively searching for the accused.
