The three-day visit of Professor Alba Cappellieri from the Milan Polytechnic to Mascate concluded with a successful exhibition of Italian jewelry titled Diva!, curated by Cappellieri herself. The exhibition, held at the National Museum of Oman, showcased the elegance and craftsmanship of Italian jewelry. It was inaugurated with the presence of Her Highness Dr. Mona Al Said, Assistant Vice Rector of Sultan Qaboos University, and received support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Pierluigi D’Elia emphasized the theme of the 2025 Italian Design Day: “Inequalities, Design for a Better Life.” He also highlighted the potential for collaboration between Italian and Omani designers, underscoring the importance of these partnerships in revitalizing craftsmanship and fostering female entrepreneurship in Oman.
This event is part of a larger effort to celebrate and promote Italian design and innovation while fostering international cultural exchange and cooperation.
