Maeve Gillies Launches Groundbreaking 3D-Printed Jewelry Collection

Scottish-American designer Maeve Gillies, co-founder of the US bridal brand MaeVona, has introduced an innovative new jewelry collection that blends her Celtic roots with cutting-edge 3D printing technology.

The Tùsaire Collection, which means “Pioneer” in Scottish Gaelic, features 30 one-of-a-kind pieces, including necklaces, cuffs, rings, and earrings made from platinum and titanium. The collection is designed to push the boundaries of 3D-printed precious metal jewelry, showcasing new decorative and structural possibilities.

The designs are inspired by ancient Celtic patterns, yet they also look to the future. The hollow, lightweight torc necklaces and cuffs twist and curl platinum and titanium into bold, modern shapes. Some pieces feature a mix of unpolished, native 3D-printed platinum against shiny, polished surfaces, highlighting the uniqueness of the new printing technology.

Each piece in the collection is named after a character from an imagined Celtic story called “The Lost Jewels of Caledonia,” where every character plays a vital role in working together for a brighter future. Seven pieces in the collection are set with rare Scottish rocks, which are protected by the strength of platinum.

The standout piece is a necklace featuring a Renfrewshire quartz, inspired by an ancient Celtic torc and representing the “King of the Mountains.” The use of 3D printing technology gives the necklace a fresh lightness, making it both wearable and stylish, while keeping the bold and timeless beauty of platinum.
