The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host two prominent jewellery exhibitions in early March. These will take place in the successful “two shows, two venues” format. The 11th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem, and Pearl Show will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo from March 2 to 6. This show will focus on showcasing a wide variety of jewellery raw materials. Meanwhile, the 41st Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai from March 4 to 8, displaying stunning finished jewellery pieces. The events aim to help both exhibitors and buyers seize global trade opportunities.
This year’s exhibitions will bring together around 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions. Nearly 70% of these exhibitors will come from outside Hong Kong. Notably, exhibitors from Japan, Spain, French Polynesia, the UAE, Mexico, and Lebanon are expanding their presence at the shows. The twin events are expected to attract over 110 buyer missions, further cementing Hong Kong’s reputation as a top international jewellery sourcing and trading hub.
Despite challenges in the global jewellery market, Hong Kong’s jewellery exports continue to grow. In 2024, exports of fine jewellery to the United States increased by over 10% year-on-year. Exports to the European Union, the Middle East, and ASEAN also saw increases of 6.5%, 3.8%, and 2.6%, respectively.
