On Sunday, March 9, thieves made off with gold and diamond jewelry worth Rs 75 lakh in a theft at a businessman’s house in Jubilee Hills. The victim, identified as GV Shekhar Reddy, a real estate businessman, and his family had been attending a wedding when the theft occurred. Upon returning home, the family found their almirah open and the ornaments missing, along with some foreign currency.
Jubilee Hills police have registered a case based on the complaint and have launched an investigation into the matter. The family suspects three missing women helpers, who were last seen at the house, could be involved in the theft. The investigation is ongoing.
