Australian jeweller Nadia Neuman has been named the recipient of the 2025 Champion of Champions award at the prestigious International Jewellery Design Excellence Awards in Hong Kong. The ceremony, held during the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) International Jewellery Show, celebrates outstanding jewellery design and features winners from competitions worldwide.

Neuman, the owner of Mondial by Nadia in Sydney, earned the top honor for her creation, the “Kaleidoscope” pendant. The 18-carat yellow and white gold piece features 32 carats of fancy color and white diamonds.

Entering the competition for the first time, Neuman viewed it as an opportunity to showcase the beauty inspired by the Australian landscape. She explained, “I’ve always wanted to create a kaleidoscope because it’s a beautiful way to display the natural play of fancy color diamonds.”

The design process took about six months, with Neuman noting that it was crucial for the piece to function as a kaleidoscope. “Once we had a working prototype, I realized it wasn’t the most appealing shape for a competition piece,” she said. “From there, the piece evolved into something bigger, involving different components that are interchangeable.”
