Qeelin, the modern Chinese jewelry maison, continues to blend heritage and high design, crafting wearable art that speaks of both tradition and innovation. With a deep reverence for Oriental symbolism, the brand brings ancient motifs into a contemporary light, creating pieces that resonate with both elegance and meaning. Their most recent showcase in Shanghai, titled Miracle Garden, exemplified this creative vision.
Hosted at the luxurious Aman Yangyun, the Miracle Garden experience transported guests into a dreamlike oasis, a wonderland spanning five distinct realms. Each realm was dedicated to one of Qeelin’s signature motifs, reinterpreted into modern masterpieces through a fusion of artistry and innovation.
A central element of this journey was the Wulu. A symbol long associated with blessings and prosperity in Chinese culture, the gourd-shaped Wulu has been a cornerstone of Qeelin’s identity since its creation in 2004. In this immersive exhibition, the Wulu was elevated to new heights, gracing several stunning collections.
The Wulu Fairy collection drew inspiration from the flowing silks and ethereal elegance of Dunhuang’s ancient murals, while the Wulu Shanshui evoked the tranquil beauty of Song Dynasty ink landscapes. However, it was the introduction of the Wulu Diamond Lotus collection that truly captured attention. This innovative line reimagined the purity of the lotus flower, unveiling a groundbreaking diamond cut in the shape of a gourd. Developed over a decade, this bespoke diamond cut infuses Qeelin’s design language with a new level of brilliance and depth, adding an unparalleled charm to the house’s already revered creations.
