Bonita Springs, FL – In anticipation of Mother’s Day on May 12, a marketing company in Bonita Springs is spearheading a touching initiative dubbed the ‘jewelry drive’.
Recognizing the timeless appeal of jewelry as a Mother’s Day gift, TLC Marketing and Creative Services is rallying support from elementary students to ensure mothers receive the perfect token of appreciation, one piece of jewelry at a time.
Trish Leonard, owner of TLC Marketing and Creative Services, expressed her delight in the community’s response to the endeavor. “For Mother’s Day, we decided to host the jewelry drive, inviting individuals to contribute jewelry on Monday. The outpouring of support has been heartening,” she remarked.
With over 100 pieces of jewelry, including earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, collected thus far, the campaign aims to imbue Mother’s Day gifts with heartfelt sentiment.
“It’s about giving from the heart. It transcends monetary value; it’s about what you can offer from your home or jewelry box,” Leonard explained.
Partnering with Bonita Springs Elementary School, the initiative seeks to involve students in making their mothers feel cherished. Leonard highlighted the significance of the collaboration, especially for children from low-income families. “It’s heartwarming to give back, especially to those who are so appreciative,” she noted.
What sets this project apart is the personal touch afforded to the children. Hand-selecting jewelry items that resonate with their mothers’ tastes adds a special dimension to the gift-giving experience.
“They have the freedom to choose whatever they believe their moms would love, be it a bracelet, ring, or necklace, which we then wrap for them. Witnessing the joy on their faces is truly rewarding,” Leonard shared.
Emphasizing the impact of even the smallest gestures, Leonard underscored the significance of the initiative for the children involved.
The company’s commitment to community welfare extends beyond Mother’s Day. Teaming up with Adams Food Group, TLC has orchestrated a heartwarming collaboration with the local McDonald’s franchise, offering single dads an opportunity to share Happy Meals with their families.
“We mustn’t overlook the role of fathers in households. This initiative celebrates the dedication of single dads who also nurture and care for their children,” Leonard stated. Additionally, the Bonita Springs Rotary Club has joined the cause, actively collecting jewelry donations from its members.
TLC Marketing and Creative Services continues to accept jewelry donations until April 30th. Donations can be dropped off at their location, 9148 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs.
