SheraChic Boutique, a new jewelry store featuring unique handmade designs, has opened its doors in the heart of Old Town Clovis, at the distinctive address of 421 ½ Pollasky.
The store is the brainchild of Shera Franzman, a jewelry designer renowned for her whimsical creations, previously available at pop-up events and select stores. Franzman expressed her delight in offering her customers a permanent space to discover her fanciful finds.
“I always strive to create new and exciting pieces. I believe my returning customers appreciate the joy of discovering these fun and whimsical items,” Franzman shared.
Having nurtured her creativity for five years, Franzman’s dream of owning a boutique akin to the one depicted in the movie “You’ve Got Mail” has become a reality.
“I’ve always been inspired by the idea of having a quaint space filled with things I love, ever since I was a child watching ‘You’ve Got Mail’,” Franzman revealed.
Among the eclectic offerings at SheraChic are earrings adorned with fruit motifs and Dala horses, reflecting Franzman’s upbringing in Clovis.
“My signature designs include the sun and moon earrings, as well as the ‘When Pigs Fly’ collection,” Franzman noted, emphasizing the symbolic encouragement to pursue one’s aspirations.
Reflecting on her journey, Franzman recounted a pivotal moment when her earrings were featured at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, alongside the inn’s coveted goblets.
“It was a ‘when pigs fly’ moment for me, witnessing the growth of my business,” Franzman reminisced.
In addition to her creations, SheraChic also showcases works by local artisans, such as “Let it Grow” plants and pottery by Kin + Clay, curated to infuse the space with passion and quality craftsmanship.
“I’ve collaborated with talented individuals who share a love for their craft, aiming to create an inviting atmosphere within the store,” Franzman explained.
SheraChic welcomes visitors Thursdays through Sundays, offering a haven for those seeking handcrafted treasures and a dose of inspiration.
