Pharrell Williams, who debuted as Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director last year, is now teaming up with Tiffany and Co, another LVMH brand, for an exciting new jewelry collection.
Named Tiffany Titan, this collection includes a range of pieces like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings, all drawing inspiration from the trident carried by Poseidon in Greek mythology. Out of the 19 pieces, seven are crafted from titanium while the remaining 12 feature yellow gold.
Each piece showcases a unique design with angular spear-shaped motifs combined with softly contoured links.
Williams explained, “I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection ‘Titan’ draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis – ‘Atlantis’ which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach.”
Adding a modern twist to traditional diamond settings, the pavé pieces in this collection feature fishtail and reverse-set diamonds to enhance their brilliance.
The titanium used in the collection underwent a transformative molecular process to achieve a striking black color, contrasting beautifully with the recycled gold used in the designs.
Williams shared, “The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”
