GIA India Introduces ‘Jewellery Merchandising for Retailers’ Course

GIA India has launched a new course named “Jewellery Merchandising for Retailers.” The course aims to revolutionize jewellery retail in India by providing valuable insights into effective merchandising strategies.

The course offers essential concepts and practical tools for various professionals in the jewellery industry, such as business owners, merchandisers, retail sales staff, category managers, and store managers. It aims to enhance their strategic capabilities by aligning merchandising strategies with business goals to drive sales success.

The course will be conducted four days a week, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, through remote learning. Additionally, a hands-on practical session will take place for one day, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at GIA India’s Mumbai campus. The inaugural batch begins on June 10th.

Participants will delve into understanding Indian jewellery target audiences, recognizing consumer trends, evaluating purchasing habits, and customizing strategies to engage efficiently with intended consumer segments.

Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director of Education and Market Development at GIA India, emphasized the importance of effective merchandising for jewellery retailers in today’s competitive market. She highlighted the course’s blended learning approach, allowing participants to balance their business and professional commitments effectively.a
