Ratnapura is set to hold its first International Gem and Jewellery Exhibition from June 29 to July 1, 2024. The event will take place at the Grand Silver Ray hotel in Pelmadulla. Organized by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), the exhibition aims to showcase Ratnapura’s rich gem heritage and boost economic opportunities in the region.

The exhibition will feature 80 high-value booths displaying various precious stones and jewellery. Additionally, 12 booths will be allocated to small and medium entrepreneurs to help them promote their products and find international markets. This diverse collection ensures visitors can explore a wide range of gems and jewellery designs all under one roof.
