FRED Opens First Malaysian Store, Introduces ‘Pretty Woman’ Necklaces

KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 — French luxury jewellery and watch brand Fred Joaillier, also known as FRED, has made its debut in Malaysia.

The brand’s first Malaysian store is located on the ground floor of Seibu The Exchange TRX.

Founded in Paris in 1936 by Fred Samuel, FRED now boasts over 50 shops worldwide and has retail outlets in 30 countries.

Known as the ‘Sunshine Jeweller,’ FRED is renowned for its bold and innovative designs.

FRED’s latest offering is the Pretty Woman Sunlight Message necklace. Crafted in pink gold with diamond pavé settings, each necklace hides a special message revealed only by light.

This technology, commonly used in watchmaking and banknote production, is being introduced to jewellery for the first time by FRED.

The Pretty Woman necklace features a heart-shaped pendant that conceals love messages, visible only when touched by light. The FRED workshops achieve this effect through precise engraving determined by Rayform technology and its algorithm.

The engraving, nearly invisible to the naked eye, is on the back of the Pretty Woman necklace. The hidden message appears when light hits it at the right angle, creating an effect similar to sunlight reflecting on the sea.

Messages such as “I Love You” and “Amour” are hidden in these necklaces, making them a unique and romantic piece of jewellery.
