An international jewellery machinery exhibition is set to kick off in Dhaka during the first week of July, focusing on technological advancements in jewellery production.
Organizers announced the inaugural International Jewellery Machinery Exhibition-2024 at a press conference held at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in Dhaka. The event, scheduled from July 4 to 6 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), aims to support Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Vision-2041.
Leaders from the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (Bajus) and international partners briefed the media on the upcoming exhibition. Key figures including Bajus President Sayem Sobhan Anvir outlined the importance of showcasing modern jewellery manufacturing technologies from more than 30 companies across 10 countries.
The exhibition is anticipated to foster growth in Bangladesh’s jewellery industry and enhance its export potential globally. Notably, companies from India, Italy, Turkey, UAE, Germany, China, and Thailand will participate, displaying cutting-edge machinery.
Bajus hopes the event will inspire local entrepreneurs to establish new jewellery factories, contributing to the revitalization of the country’s gold industry. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 11 am to 7 pm over its three-day duration.
