Susan Alexandra has teamed up with Baskin-Robbins to create a new jewelry line celebrating National Ice Cream Day. Known for evoking nostalgic childhood memories through her accessories, Susan Korn, founder of Susan Alexandra, expressed her excitement about this collaboration. The new “Ice Cream Social” necklace features brass charms shaped like miniature Cotton Candy cones, pink spoons, and Cappuccino Blasts, all adorned with Baskin-Robbins’ iconic branding, priced at $131.
Korn shared that choosing the right ice cream-themed items was a collaborative effort with Baskin-Robbins. They settled on Cotton Candy due to its vibrant blue and pink ombré colors, which perfectly captured the essence of summer treats. This collaboration marks another creative venture for Susan Alexandra, following successful partnerships with brands like Pebbles cereal and Sweetgreen.
For Korn, who opened her flagship store in Manhattan’s Dimes Square in 2021, collaborating with Baskin-Robbins holds personal significance. Her father’s first job was at a Baskin-Robbins in Ohio, further deepening her connection to the brand’s heritage.
Beyond jewelry, Susan Alexandra is known for its “Tiny Joys” collection, which includes handmade and enameled charms ranging from pets to baked goods. These charms have become a staple of the brand and are also featured in their new T-shirt line, designed in collaboration with graphic designer Chris Chang.
The launch of the Ice Cream Social necklace coincides with National Ice Cream Day on July 21. Each purchase includes a gift card for a free scoop at Baskin-Robbins, adding to the celebratory spirit of the occasion.
Looking ahead, Korn is preparing for her next fashion show in collaboration with designer Rachel Antonoff, set for fall. This joint presentation will spotlight their shared love for playful and whimsical designs, likely featuring Korn’s vibrant beaded collars and leashes alongside Antonoff’s signature prints and knits.
The Ice Cream Social necklace is available for purchase on susanalexandra.com and at the Susan Alexandra store on Orchard Street in New York City.
