The Brisbane-based brand Èsah and Co. embodies this sentiment by infusing its pieces with meaning and inspiration. Founded by Jane Salazar, Èsah and Co. aims to merge self-care and affirmation into every design.
Jane Salazar, a former teacher turned entrepreneur, founded the company during a period of personal struggle. During the Covid lockdowns, Jane grappled with anxiety and isolation. She found solace in positive affirmations such as, “I am who I am, I am enough,” and “Focus on what you can control.”
Leveraging her artistic background, Jane began crafting a series of affirmation pendants, which are hand-drawn and sold through Èsah and Co. These pendants are designed to offer support and motivation to those facing similar challenges.
Èsah and Co. goes beyond selling jewellery by fostering a supportive online community. The company engages with its customers through weekly love note emails, self-care updates on Instagram, and affirmation posts, maintaining a connection long after the initial purchase. In addition to their affirmation pendants, the brand offers a range of earrings and rings.
Recently, Èsah and Co. launched a ‘pay it forward’ campaign, encouraging customers to anonymously gift jewellery to others. This initiative led to acts of kindness, including Jane personally delivering packages around Brisbane and gifting a necklace to a local trolley collector.
